Our recent CFAAR Q1 event in Cayman, hosted by Conyers, brought together leading experts for an engaging discussion on crypto disputes and the evolving legal landscape.
Despite the challenges raised by the tube strike and inclement weather, the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery 'CFAAR' network's Barrister Bash event went ahead as planned on 2 March at RPC's offices.
It proved to be another roaring success. The format was simple: eight minutes for each barrister on the panel to advocate that their case was the most significant crypto judgment in this jurisdiction to date. Attacking an opponent's case as much as advocating one's own case was strongly encouraged, which paved the way for a hotly contested and, at times, hilarious debate (with some moments of sheer oratorical brutality).
The audience was then asked to vote via their phones for the winner. Whilst the results were extremely tight, it was Ion Science v Persons Unknown which came out on top, deftly argued for by Twenty Essex's Sam Goodman.")

It was a full house at CFAAR Cayman's third technical panel event at the GTYC on Wednesday night.
